Copywriter, Content Producer, Murrow Award-Winning Former Journalist
The Storytelling Muse arrived early for me. I was babbling into a plastic Fisher-Price microphone before I could walk. Later, I was the kid telling spooky stories around the campfire. I even made elaborate mouth noises to animate the most terrifying parts, à la Orson Welles.
I learned something valuable seeing widened eyes fixed on me through the flames: Language has a powerful effect on people.
I’d found my calling.
The Muse has guided me from writing news to commercials. I also learned the art of complex audio production eventually ran my own production company.
In my pivot to journalism, my work aired on NPR and the BBC. I was also recognized with three Edward R. Murrow Awards, including a national award for feature reporting and documentary production. And I served as Program Director at two NPR Member stations.
I’m grateful for such diverse opportunities.
Today, I’m an agile writer and producer of multi-media content. I produce marketing communications for the TEDxGrandJunction conference and Clobotics, Inc. I’m also a copywriter and social media strategist for MySalesButler.com.
I’m a native of Boulder, Colorado and a lifelong resident of the American West.
