Copywriter, Content Producer, Edward R. Murrow Award-Winning Journalist
The Storytelling Muse arrived early for me. I was babbling into a plastic Fisher-Price microphone before I could walk. Later, I was the kid telling spooky stories around the campfire. I even made elaborate mouth noises to animate the most terrifying parts, à la Orson Welles.
I learned something valuable seeing widened eyes fixed on me through the flames: Language has a powerful effect on people.
I’d found my calling.
The Muse has guided me from writing news to commercials to social media campaigns. I also learned the art of complex audio production, ran my own production company, and helped brand numerous radio stations, products, and services.
After pivoting to journalism, my work was heard on NPR and the BBC. I was recognized with three Edward R. Murrow Awards, including a national award for feature reporting and documentary production. I also served as Programming and Operations Director at two NPR Member stations.
I’m grateful for such diverse opportunities.
Today, I’m an agile writer and producer of both news and marketing content. I’m currently providing much-needed reporting on the COVID-19 crisis for KSUT Four Corners Public Radio. I also produce blogs and social media messaging for MySalesButler.com, the TEDxGrandJunction conference, and QuikRStuff, Inc.
I was also recently part of the content production team at Clobotics Global.
I’m a native of Boulder, Colorado and a lifelong resident of the American West.
